Regulate the temperature according to a schedule and automate the lights and shutters when you leave the house. Data that accumulates in your intelligent home is not only interesting for hackers but also for the manufacturers themselves. With your information, manufacturers can optimize the control of your smart device. If you are concerned about your data, you should first check the terms and conditions to see who has access to which data and when. Ideally, your data is only collected for specific purposes. Take the time to read the terms and conditions carefully, as providers sometimes work with specialized companies. If this is the case, you should be able to explicitly consent to this. You may not be directly aware of it, but all possible data from your connected devices used to configure the control of the components is stored. This is stored for as long as you use a provider or until your account is deleted. <\/p>\n\n
If the security of your data is important to you, you should choose a provider that has its servers in Germany. Generally, data is secured according to the regulations of the respective country. Some even state how data security is ensured within the company itself. Furthermore, regular security audits should be conducted by external bodies, such as the T\u00dcV. Another important aspect is the encryption of your data. Depending on which encryption is used, access by unauthorized persons can be prevented with a very high degree of probability.
