leitzcloud gets a new data center
at maincubes
Frankfurt am Main, February 19, 2020 – vBoxx, a Dutch hosting and cloud service provider, has chosen the European data center operator maincubes as its colocation partner for hosting its German customer leitzcloud. Through the collaboration with maincubes, vBoxx and leitzcloud are expanding their network, underlining their commitment to customers to always focus on reliability and trustworthiness. In turn, maincubes can offer additional services to customers through the partnership with vBoxx and leitzcloud: companies can now obtain leitzcloud infrastructure services directly via the secureexchange® platform in maincubes’ FRA01 and AMS01 data centers.
Mutual benefits – looking to the future together
“leitzcloud offers small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as large corporations, a secure and reliable cloud storage solution to simplify and improve collaboration between colleagues, partners, and customers. When selecting a German data center, we were guided by three priorities: First, we only considered a partner whose data center is based in Germany and complies with all German data processing standards. Second, a colocation provider for whom security and reliability are the top priority. Third, it was important to us to work with a company that, like us, is enthusiastically committed to the opportunities and challenges of the 21st century and invests in innovation and sustainability. Since maincubes effortlessly meets all three requirements, we chose their ISO-certified data centers,” says Valentijn Koppenaal, Co-Founder and CEO of vBoxx.
“Our two companies complement each other perfectly: we provide vBoxx with a highly available and scalable infrastructure, the security of which was recently reaffirmed by receiving the international ISAE 3402 Type 1 report. Meanwhile, our customers can access the comprehensive and highly flexible leitzcloud solution. This is even possible via the secureexchange® platform without having to manage complex network structures on the side,” says Antje Tauchmann, Head of Marketing at maincubes. “Furthermore, we are pleased that vBoxx shares our future-oriented commitment, which we at maincubes emphasize through our activities in projects related to IoT and Smart Mobility.”
Through the secureexchange® platform, maincubes offers its customers access to public cloud, interconnectivity, and other security services, among others. For medium-sized companies and large corporations, this offers the opportunity to become part of a secure ecosystem and actively participate in innovative and promising business fields.

Top-class data centers with the highest level of security
maincubes currently operates highly available data centers in the Frankfurt area (FRA01) and in Amsterdam (AMS01), with another data center planned in the Rhine-Main region. FRA01, which won the German Data Center Award, is a DE-CIX-enabled site and meets all data protection requirements under both German law and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR). maincubes offers state-of-the-art colocation services based on an energy-efficient and scalable data center infrastructure “made in Germany” with a 100% uptime guarantee for cloud service providers, content providers, and enterprises.
When selecting a German data center, we focused on three priorities: First, we only considered a partner whose data center is located in Germany and complies with all German data processing standards. Second, a colocation provider for whom security and reliability are paramount. Third, it was important for us to collaborate with a company that, like us, is passionate about the opportunities and challenges of the 21st century and invests in innovation and sustainability.
